Sometimes we (as human) become so bored we rediscover things we thought we lost.
For me, i have rediscovered CTV and my creativity.

Before i tell you my idea i must get a few words out.

I am sorry i have deserted CTV.

I am sorry that i have not written anything until today.

I am sorry for the wait.

And i am sorry for allowing this blog to become what it has become.

THE FAVOR
(a comedy)

If you make a deal with the devil, your sure to get burned, Badly. But what if you accidentally made a deal with the devil. What if you where unfortunate to owe the devil a favor.

Our story starts here.

Isaac just ran out of body wash, and really wants to get clean. But when the devil loans him his body wash (that smells like cinnamon) and shows up at his beside a week later to collect, what will our young protagonist do?

Find out.
When it comes out.

dear bloggers,

Its been a long time since i last posted something, and I've been going through some things, but through my misery I've had a light guide me through. Her name is Rayna Duran, my friend. Together we have created a story pitch.

SCAR: The Hero Within

Ever since i was a little boy i used to daydream about heroes. The thought of a hero excited me.
Thus, when i started drawing, thanks to a series of circumstances, my first picture was of a werewolf. Eventually i wanted my art to have life. It was from then on that i fell into the love for comics.
Thus, my first hero that i ever put into a comic would become my most cherished.

So, after many rewrites of the story in my mind, here's my idea:

This script idea came to me in a dream. Its kind of a weird, twisted world.
A world were people can swat down bullets with katanas.
The dream for this script idea came from a daydream I had of a woman in a bloody wedding dress,
wielding a bloody katana.

Why The Oscars Are Important To Me

How appropriate, the Oscars were tonight.
Kathryn Bigelow, James Cameron's ex-lover, schooled him by picking up the Best Picture award for her brilliant, if I might add, film The Hurt Locker. The win was significant because it showed Avatards that pretty blue people, lame CGI, and things popping out at you will never replace good storytellers.

I believe this means Edgar 1, Hudgens 0

I was going to do the animation on the skeletons, but something better has come to my mind.

First Model is Almost Done

This is the first model for my animation.
Let me introduce: The kid.
He goes to Andrew Middle School, in Gladsvill FL.
He's mute. His friends are Zac, Cody, and Sal.
He has a lucky medal that he always carries around.
He gets lost, on his way home from his friends house, and walks right into the cemetery
Loves: Art
Hates: creepy things
Quote: "I think. Therefore, I am."
Personality: Quiet, not outgoing, Introvert, low self confidence.
Time took to model: 5 hours.

Cracked Open Maya 2008 Again

OK, I started the modeling process. Here's a screen shot.
Production is going good. Mr. Knight introduced me to the guy who is going to speak tomorrow at seven. Cool dude.
[Marshall Lee Toomey, an animator straight from Disney, will be guest speaking at Pacific Union College on March 2, 2010. Mr. Knight is part of the faculty here at PUC.]
I think I'm going to like my film and television career. I cant wait till my animation is done.

A Little Glimpse Into the 3D Animation Process

First off, I would like to show you another character sketch.
I bet your tired of seeing these,
but they are necessary evil in the animation process.

New Character Sketch for Attack of the Living-Dead

The First draft of the script is done. And I have two characters that I have final sketches for. This one was the second version of this character I sketched.
What do you think?
I think i have accomplished a fairly good character. This is the nameless kid in the animation :)
Creating the first sketches of a character, in my opinion, is the hardest part of any animation.
It takes the most creativity.
Anyway, I'll keep CTV posted on the progress of the animation.

Animated Short Planned to Start Soon

I Jonathan Hudgens, am no expert when it comes to 3D animation.
But I do know how to do it. 

Thus, for my portfolio, I will be animating a six minute, or under, short.
This Short will be called: Attack of the Living-Dead.

Its a comedy.

Here's my first character sketch for the animation.



Premise:
Boy gets lost in graveyard. And goes further in while trying to find the way out.
His life flashes before his tiny little eyes.
Will he get out of this alive?

Cell phone Commercials Are Just Begging To Be Made Fun Of

I was thinking. What if we made fun of Verizon's cell phone commercials. There would be a big crowd following this guy. The crowd wont leave him alone. He cant even have sex with his girl without the crowd being there.

I don't know.
It seemed like a good idea for a small film.

Little Red Riding Hood: PUC style

My names Jonathan Hudgens.
Plain and simple.
I am a recent addition to CTV.
And.....
If I had to redo the Little Red Ridding-hood story, I would change Little Red riding hood to a guy, and the wolf to a girl. I would also change the destination from grandmas house to Nickel Hall, located on the isolated campus called PUC.
The title would be... hmmmm..... Red Shirt Joe, and the Foxy lady.

Whats the reason for doing this; putting my own big twist on the L.R.R.H.story?
I'm redoing this story because there have already been too many remakes and versions of it,
and I wanted to add mine to the fray.

So, without further adjustments, i give you.....
