Still Alive and Kicking

Contrary to popular belief,
all the members of CTV have not stopped doing everything film-related altogether.
(we've just stopped talking about it)

Michael and I Have Unlocked A Strange Power

Recently, our future Social Vice President (as in Pacific Union College's) asked me to help him make a commercial for a pool party he was having. I decided to make it look awesome, I should do something like Tim and Eric, Awesome Show, Great Job.

First Draft of Help Wanted

So as many of us have stated in earlier posts, a few of us here have written television pilots.
Edgar wrote one, Hudgens wrote one, Sam is writing one, Kylee wrote one also.
And well, so here's mine. I could REALLY use some feedback on it.
Help Wanted - First Draft - Episode 1

Vita: The 10-Page Preview Script

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was working on a short titled Vita.
Quite a bit has happened since then.

About a couple weeks ago I was assigned to do a ten-page short for my scriptwriting class.
What better chance than then to finally write Vita?
While it has been limited to ten pages, I got the gist of the story out there on paper.
Plus I received 10/10 on it!
Professor's notes: "Fascinating! Good. You pack a lot of action without overwriting."

Because it has been so limited, MUCH of the story had to be removed.
So just consider this ten-pager just rough outline of the actual finished product.

Here is a link to the Google Documents version of the short.

Help Michael Make a Movie!!

Greetings!
Alright, so here it is.
I have to film, edit, and video-file-ize a film that is under 20 minutes long,
before March 1st.
I want to apply for Art Center Pasadena,
and I need a good film to put in my portfolio!

If anyone wants to be on board to act,
or just help out in whatever ways you can,
(not with the script or movie idea, that's all me, don't encroach)
please feel free to contact me and say something like,
"hey Michaels, I'm your guy/girl/machine/beast!"

I have no idea for a movie yet, but I'm brainstorming,
I'm thinking along the lines of a narrative flick,
a more serious tone with dashes of comedy here and there.

Stay Tuned for Further Details,

Michael Castellanos!

Michael and Edgar Make a Porno -BANNED-

Due to popular demand, Edgar and I have had to ban
the distribution of the popular Michael and Edgar make a Porno.
well, just from Youtube..
you can still view it by asking us directly to view the video,
request only kinda deal.

We are doing this to keep the video underground,
so the Administration here as Pacific Union College
doesn't try to pull a fast one on us again and kick us out.

as uncool as it sounds, we're watching our asses here.

The Big Premiere + News

So....about that surprise

Remember how I was talking crap about this amazing video that was suppose to premiere on Friday??? Well, uh, due to a recent disciplinary case Michael and I are dealing with(along with many others) Friday wasn't the exactly ideal day to premiere. So, the premiere is coming soon along with the results of our case.

Neil Soiland's The Fall of Reality

The whole gang here at CTV (Cinema Thought Vomit. yeah, we're hip with acronyms, stfu!)
and some other friends, have begun work on a new project for a good friend of ours, Neil Soiland.

Neil Soiland's The Fall of Reality is a film that is claimed to be (by Neil himself) very controversial.
I, myself, am lead director of cinematography on this film, and Edgar has one of the lead roles!
I would go into further detail on the 'controversialness' of the film, but i fear leaking too much of the plot itself.
I also do not know enough of the film to conjure up a synopsis that would suffice and/or do it any justice.

Just last night we filmed a couple scenes at a local home here in Angwin.
Needless to say it went groovingly, regardless of a few microphone hiccups along the way.
We have no stills or preview video to show you of that magical night.
(it really was quite magical, so much damn fog last night, couldn't see anything!)
Just stay tuned for more information on The Fall of Reality!

(also: hit the jump for another Soiland short, Nexus of Understanding)

RE: A Sweet Suprise Coming

As Edgar said in a previous post.
Him and I are in cahoots together with a project.
and while i hope you all don't enjoy it, i am sure as hell you will.
Me + Edgar + Camera = What we're cooking.
(i'd put a winky-face here, but I'm not going to)

Stay tuned to keep posted for further details on this Secret Project of ours!

Akira Short by Eyetape Productions

A friend of mine, Mark Tan of Eye Tape Productions,
asked me a few weeks ago if i could help him out with a short film.
I had the flu, really bad. Bedridden bad. It was bad.
But it was a night on which i was feeling much better,
but it was 1 in the morning when he asked.
And I said yes.
A late night in really cold temperatures,
sick as a dog,
riding in the back of a moving pickup,
and drenched in fake blood.

All for only like, one second of fame.
But WHAT a second it was!

Mark Tan has been working on a live-action short based off Akira.
Enjoy his hard work after the jump.

A Day Full o' Zombies?

There are plenty of stills in my gigantic collection of archival photos.
these are the few that make me itchy to make a zombie flick.
